Air Dominance Flight Test Operations ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for an Air Dominance Flight Test Operations Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team planning and executing Boeing programs including F-15, F-18, and possibly other platforms.The selected candidate will be responsible for managing employees in all planning and execution stages of flight test programs. Work scope includes proposals, schedules, RIO, staffing, test requirements definition, development of ground and flight test plans, remote site planning, aircraft configuration management, training, and test execution. The manager will be responsible for Earned Value Management (EVM). Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Significant interaction with USG and foreign customer representatives. Manages, develops, and motivates employees.Position Responsibilities:Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Technical aspects: cost, schedule, and other programmatic aspects; and proposal support (including development of labor estimates)Develop and engage Employees through: coaching; mentoring; and employee performance assessment, as well as identifying growth opportunities and assignments that best fit the needs of the individual and the companyBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science1+ years of experience in a managerial or team lead role3+ years of experience supporting a military flight test programAble and willing to travel domestically and internationally as neededPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or experience creating estimatesExperience leading technical teamsExperience as a test engineer on a military test programExperience with planning and executing programs at remote sitesExperience with Program Management Best Practices including: Requirements Management; Earned Value Management; and Risk/Issue/Opportunity ManagementDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift:This position is primarily first shift; however, the selected candidate must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.Travel: This position may require travel (including international) in support of meetings or testing to alternate sites.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
