Description This Drafter will be working mainly on substation drafting, P&C wiring, breaker, switches, single/three line diagrams, and physical layout. They want this drafter to want to make a jump out of drafting, eventually to pursue other opportunities at B&M. They will be doing a part time Document Controlling until they can find a full time replacements. - Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. - Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. - Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of various disciplines. - Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. - Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs. - Assist in continuous Design Technology improvement efforts. - Responsible for accessing client document control systems to obtain client files. - Coordinates documents with multiple disciplines for project needs. - Issues transmittals to clients and vendors. - Packages electronic documents for clients, vendors, and internal needs. - Notifies appropriate person of troubleshooting issues regarding vendors and clients. - Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures. Follow drafting practices of the selected discipline. Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. Utilize standard drafting detail programs. Contribute to continuous drafting detail improvement efforts. Research and present solutions to project concerns. Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all company policies. Essential Skills Basic knowledge of commands in at least one CAD program. Basic knowledge and experience in multiple CAD systems (including 3D and BIM). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Demonstrated leadership skills. Self-motivated and eager learner with the aptitude to grow and develop within the field. Ability to meet deadlines and budget. Skills Autocad, Microstation, Drafting, electrical drafting Top Skills Details Autocad,Microstation,Drafting Additional Skills & Qualifications They want a Cad Certificate and Associate Degree in computer-aided drafting/design preferred. They do not want a Bachelor Degreed Engineer or Designer Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently without restrictions or need for work sponsorship. Local to Chattanooga, TN. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
