Summary of Position We seek an experienced full-time hybrid Bioinformatics/Software Developer to join our engineering and science-focused culture. The role involves supporting lab operations, developing algorithms, managing genetic data, and participating in bringing new diagnostic solutions to market. The position requires interdisciplinary knowledge sharing, creative problem-solving, and understanding of clinical standards. Key Job Elements This role combines multiple professions including bioinformatics, software development, data management, and system analysis. Responsibilities include designing and supporting bioinformatics pipelines, data and system management, developing analytics tools, supporting operations, and collaborating across departments. The role also involves research, system and solution design, and understanding of clinical and biological sciences. Qualifications Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with strong learning ability in genetics and related fields. Expertise in programming languages such as node.js, Java, Python, R, SQL, and experience with system administration, data analysis, and understanding of clinical standards are required. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential. Additional Skills Experience with bioinformatics, genetics, system administration, various databases, programming languages, and large data systems is preferred.
