This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the organization by improving fraud prevention capabilities and designing efficient data engineering pipelines. Your contributions will enable the company to manage risk and meet compliance demands while enhancing operational effectiveness. As part of a global team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions to ensure that data processes are optimized for real-time and batch processing. This position also supports innovative uses of artificial intelligence to enhance data solutions.

Accountabilities

• Improve the bank’s fraud prevention capabilities
• Develop data engineering pipelines for real-time and batch data processing
• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, and Data Scientists to define pipeline requirements
• Design and develop pipelines alongside Data Architects and Technical Leadership
• Work with Release Management and DevOps teams to release pipelines into production

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional expertise as a Data Engineer
• At least 5 years of experience with Python 3
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and Apache Beam
• Experience with data analysis and transformation libraries such as Pandas or Polars
• Good understanding of data engineering strategies
• Experience integrating with APIs and filesystems
