Job Description

The Director of Health and Wellness is responsible for overall operation of the nursing department. This includes leadership, training, and oversight of 35+ non-clinical staff who provide care services to 80+ assisted living and memory care residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and responsibility for daily operations of our clinical department
• Hiring, training, and development of staff in conjunction with your leadership team
• Work directly with residents to evaluate needs and services to accurately assess, communicate and document resident status on electronic care system
• Oversight of aides and nurses and other care staff. delegation of nurse duties to unlicensed personnel as needed
• Other leadership duties as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State.
• Experience in skilled nursing, Assisted Living, Geriatric Nursing or Gerontology and/or Dementia Care
• Demonstrated ability in budgeting and cost control
• Knowledge of how to develop and utilize service plans, medication management systems, infection control practices and safety procedures
• Skills in promoting teamwork, leadership, team member empowerment, and responsiveness to residents
• Love for seniors!
