Job Summary

In line with global strategy and business objectives within Crop Science worldwide, including Field Solutions NA, this role manages the expedient and accurate global distribution of samples to various external and internal customers. The purpose is to support the evaluation of NA and Global Development studies for new product registrations and re-registrations.

Job Description

• Process sample orders using Sample Logistics applications.
• Prepare sample orders for shipping and attach appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Scan sample orders and samples for packaging into shipping containers; complete the shipping process in compliance with IATA and/or DOT regulations and file shipping documents.
• Assist with international shipments and communicate shipping details.
• Conduct and reconcile sample inventories (current, bulk, and GLP) in Sample Logistics applications and generate Excel inventory reports.
• Receive packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintain accurate records for future reference.
• Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples.
• Assist in overseeing the restricted GLP cage area to ensure samples are maintained and secured in accordance with GLP regulations.
• Sub-fill sample containers in compliance with all HSE, SDS, and site safety policies; apply FIFRA research sample labels and stickers according to process orders.
• Scan samples into inventory and complete process orders.
• Identify questionable test substances based on appearance and consult the Sample Logistics manager as needed.
• Maintain SDS filing for Sample Logistics inventory by retrieving documents from Global QHSE and other manufacturers or supplier databases.
• Maintain bulk inventory with appropriate labeling, scanning items to physical locations, and placing containers on designated shelves.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies for the Sample Logistics team.
• Support the Sample Logistics team with additional duties as requested.
• Comply with all required IATA and DOT training.
• Report discrepancies with orders, computer or application issues, and other sample-related concerns to the designated Sample Logistics representative.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of basic plant biology and growth principles.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling
• Knowledge of inventory maintenance
• High computer literacy
• Ability to work quickly, effectively, and safely
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow HSE, SDS, FIFRA, and site safety policies
• Ability to work with regulated materials in GLP environments
• Strong attention to detail and record accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams regarding shipping and inventory issues

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 0–3 years of related experience
• Preferred degree in a science-related field
• Compliance with IATA and DOT training requirements

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• Work schedule is 8:00 AM

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $17.68 to $25.68 per hour based on qualifications.
