Lundberg Family Farms is seeking a dependable and skilled Farm Technician I to join our team. This hands-on position supports rice and row crop production through a mix of manual labor, equipment operation, repair, maintenance, irrigation, and research activities. The Farm Technician I operates farming equipment during planting and harvest seasons and may perform a variety of farm labor tasks as needed.

Note: Workload varies by season. Significant overtime is expected during planting and harvest, with reduced hours or no work in off-seasons. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Work is in both Yolo and Butte Counties.
Key Responsibilities

Support Farm Operations

• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all processes and equipment used in the Farm department.
• Perform manual labor tasks as required.
• Assist with planting and harvest operations.
• Support irrigation activities on Lundberg Family Farms properties.

Operate & Maintain Equipment

• Operate farm vehicles and specialized equipment, including those with GPS guidance systems.
• Assist with service, repair, and maintenance of farm equipment

Requirements

• • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of farm experience related to rice or row crop production.
  • Valid California driver's license (or valid license in state of residence) and ability to meet insurability standards of our auto insurance carrier; Class A license preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of organic farming practices preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Intermediate knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and farm equipment.
  • Ability to adapt and perform a variety of job duties throughout the day.
