Full Charge Bookkeeper

Sara Walker with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage financial operations and administrative tasks for a dynamic landscape construction and nursery business. This in-office position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, job costing, and financial reporting. The role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle a variety of responsibilities, including payroll, budgeting, and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to manage job costing, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks.
• Ensure accurate bank reconciliations and maintain organized financial records.
• Handle billing processes, including lien waivers, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and manage procurement activities to support business operations.
• Support human resources functions, such as onboarding and employee record management.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
• Maintain compliance with accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth office administration and workflow.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to guide financial decision-making.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 45 years of experience in accounting or office management, preferably in construction or landscaping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is required.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams.
• Familiarity with lien waivers and billing processes is preferred.
• Experience with vendor management and procurement activities.
• Spanish fluency is a plus, though not required.
