Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Office Receptionist to join our OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support. Full-time or Part-time hours are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients in a warm and welcoming manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit.
Schedule appointments, manage patient registration, and maintain accurate records in the practice management system.
Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures and referrals.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
Collect co-payments and outstanding balances, processing transactions accurately and securely.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring that all patient forms and educational materials are well-stocked and up-to-date.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication.
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to stay current on practice policies, industry trends, and best practices in patient care.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in an OB/GYN or related healthcare setting is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on empathy and patient satisfaction.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in practice management software as well as Mac/Apple.
Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical billing procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical office administration program (preferred).
