STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking an entry level NDT - FPI Xray Technician to join our team. We fabricate precision welded and brazed tube assemblies for some of the largest aerospace companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Rolls Royce and Lockheed Martin.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the production and interpretation of radiographic images of tube assemblies or castings, for dimensional inspection, flaw detection, or presence of foreign material.

  • Able to accurately reads and follow X-ray film or digital techniques to produce quality images
  • \n
  • Adjusts controls of Liquid Penetrant machines /equipment on console to inspect and certify parts or assemblies.
  • \n
  • Follows set radiation safety procedures for personnel and area monitoring
  • \n
  • Performs system checks as required
  • \n
  • Required to follow procedures in the techniques for which certified
  • \n
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • \n
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • \n
  • Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
  • \n
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
