This position works up to 20 hours per week and requires a flexible work schedule that includes some nights and weekends. This position will supervise subordinates, contractual employees and volunteers. Qualifications: degree in parks and recreation or a related field, or comparable experience working with preschool and youth, or any equivalent combination of experience and training and passion for environmental science and sustainability preferred; possess initiative, responsibility, teamwork, ability to multitask, innovative programming skills and computer literacy; enthusiastic attitude, creativity, assertiveness and organizational skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, City employees and the general public and have a genuine interest in working with the community, youth and families.
