RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Salesforce Apex Developer for a direct-hire role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Platform Development: Design, build, test, and deploy high-performance backend logic using a proprietary scripting language and integration framework; Solutions must be scalable and capable of handling large datasets
- Workflow Enhancement: Evaluate complex operational processes and extend automation tools with custom logic to improve efficiency and maintainability
- Solution Architecture Support: Contribute to the design of new platform-based solutions, offering input on scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability
- Code Quality and Standards: Write clean, maintainable code aligned with platform best practices. Participate in peer reviews to ensure consistency and quality
- System Integration: Build and maintain integrations between the core platform and external systems using APIs and other communication protocols
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve advanced issues related to custom logic and platform behavior
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions; Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ongoing Skill Development: Stay current with platform updates, new features, and emerging best practices
- Testing and Validation: Develop robust unit and integration tests to ensure solution reliability and performance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience developing scalable solutions in high-volume environments
- Experience implementing complex business logic using asynchronous processing and custom triggers
- Experience with API-based integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Experience with modern development tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of the platform's architecture, limitations, and optimization strategies
- Understanding of architectural design patterns relevant to the platform
- Exposure to agile delivery methodologies
- Familiarity with automation tools and how to extend them with custom logic
- Familiarity with multiple functional modules within the platform ecosystem
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Proficiency in backend scripting, automation tools, and component-based UI frameworks
- Solid grasp of data modeling and query languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and in distributed teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
