BR+A Is Seeking An Experienced Fire Protection Engineer To Join Our Talented Team At Our Boston, MA Office. The Ideal Candidate Will Have 10+ Years Of Experience, An Engineering Degree, Be a Registered Professional Engineer, And Possess The Following Abilities Responsibilities Experience designing Fire Protection systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projects; Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; Experience in specification writing; Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects; Coordinate with other disciplines; Develop hydraulic calculations for sprinklers and standpipes using computer programs; Thorough knowledge of NFPA Codes; Basic knowledge of Fire Protection systems including wet, dry and specialty systems; Understands work planning and manages the design process to the available hours in the work plan; Meets with clients and work with contractors; Oversees deliverables to and from clients; Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strongly motivated, well organized, shows professional initiative; Takes ownership of assignments, works both independently and as part of the project team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; PE License; 10+ years of related experience.
