\nSr. Electrical Designer
\nPosition is based out of the Portage, IN office, will work with project managers, engineers and other designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of industrial plant electrical systems.
\n \nResponsibilities will include:
\n· Preparation of the following engineering drawings: Single line diagrams and panelboard layouts, Conduit and cable tray plans/ sections/ details designed to NEC. Conduit and cable schedules utilizing equipment layouts and vendor schematics, Conduit block diagrams and interconnection diagrams based on equipment layouts and vendor terminal block information.
\n· Learn and maintain proper drafting procedures and standards per CET and their client’s AutoCAD
\nstandards
\n· Ability to accompany other personnel on field surveys in an industrial environment to gather
\ninformation, occasional one or two day travel might be required.
\n· Attend meetings and interface with clients, vendors and contractors
\n· Direct and supervise junior level designers and drafters as needed to complete projects
\n· Communicate with the engineers and designers from other departments to insure correct and up
\nto date information is uniform.
\n· ETAP or SKM preferable but not required.
\n· Flexible schedule between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
\n· This is not a remote position.
\nDegree in Electrical engineering or electrical technology or equivalent work experience.
