Job Description
In this role, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and supporting our small business accounting operations. Must be able to work efficiently and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recording daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Assisting in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Preparing and processing invoices for clients and vendors.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial files and records.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Providing support for various accounting and financial projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related roles is a plus but not required.
