Ontics Creedmoor, NC, site is home to a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join them. You will report to the Quality Compliance Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.

To be considered for the Supplier Quality Engineer opening, heres what youll need to bring with you:

• Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or materials management
• 2+ years of experience working in a supplier quality role
• Experience with First Article Inspections
• 5+ years of experience in an aircraft or aerospace environment preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
• CQE or CQA a plus

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, You Will

• Address supplier quality issues through root cause analysis and supplier corrective actions
• Define, instruct, and maintain supplier quality procedures/protocol
• Manage the supplier approval process and maintain the approved supplier database
• Conduct periodic surveys of supplier facilities and manufacturing processes to determine adequacy and capability of technical and quality assurance activities. Supplier on-site visits and audits as required
• Qualify new suppliers based on their capability to meet Ontics quality assurance requirements
• Implement and manage supplier control plans
• Implement and manage applicable APQP, PPAP, and FAI requirements
• Develop and implement supplier scorecards and rating programs, and analyze associated data
• Plan, organize, and conduct vendor reviews
• Effectively interpret and communicate specific requirements to the supplier base
• Perform purchase order reviews of production materials
• Develop the most efficient flow of processing nonconforming material from receiving inspection back through procurement, and ultimately to the supplier
• Prepares detailed studies and cost justifications for all applications
• Work with vendors, peers, and customers in a professional manner
• Reviews product failure data and interprets laboratory tests and analyses to establish or rule out material and process causes

Salary Range

• $90,000-110,000/year, based on experience

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
