The engagement is for the Extended School Year (ESY) period, beginning as soon as possible and concluding on August 15.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students communication and learning goals.
• Utilize appropriate strategies and assistive technologies to enhance access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with related service providers and family members to ensure consistency of support.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
• Participate in planning and review meetings as required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or specialized training in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Experience working in an elementary school setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Flexibility to manage hours within the ESY timeframe effectively.

Position Details:

• Location: Brentwood, NY.
• Schedule: 5 hours per week, with 10 owed hours to be completed at your discretion within the contract period.
• Flexible scheduling allows you to choose your workdays.
• Contract duration: ASAP start through August 15.
