Job Description

Enrich the educational experience of students by providing specialized instruction and support as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a dynamic K-12 setting in Littleton, CO. This contract position, aligned with the normal school year calendar, offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and social growth of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Utilizing a variety of communication methods including sign language, auditory training, and speech therapy techniques
• Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support and accessibility
• Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress to adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Promoting an inclusive environment that encourages confidence and achievement in students with hearing challenges

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification and training specific to teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
