Job Description

A K-12 educational role is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, located in Fort Collins, CO. This contract position is for the current school year and offers an opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Deliver instruction using appropriate communication methods, such as sign language and auditory training.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and families to support student success.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Advocate for student needs within the school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related field.
• Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Proficiency in sign language and other assistive communication techniques.
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
