Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Milledgeville, Georgia.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years as an ED RN
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Active RN License (GA) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rythm) required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• TNCC - preferred, not required
• National certification - Emergency nursing - preferred but not required
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)
• No call
• Holiday Expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after + 12/24 or 12/25 + 12/31 or 1/1
• RTO Requests: Manager approval required
• Shift times: 12-hour shifts - 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
• Floating: Within ER
• Orientation: 1 day orientation with work on educational modules, 2 days departmental

• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3-4 (depends on assigned zone)
• Patient Ratios: LPN: 1:4
• Patient Ratios: CNA: 2 per shift

• Not a Teaching Hospital
• Chest Pain Center: ECCC level 3
• Remote Stroke Center
• Unit Information: Beds: 22 plus surge beds
• Census: 85 patients per day on average
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Common ED Diagnoses to include but not limited to: Chest Pain, Strokes, Diabetes, Abdominal Pain, MVCs, HTN, Mental Health
• Skills required: Drip management: Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed
• Receptionist/HUC: Unit secretary on unit
• Charge nurse may or may not have patients
• Phlebotomy - Nurse draw
• IV/VAT Team: PICC coverage
• RT, 24/7
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• Intensivist, 24/7
• Telemetry monitoring/tech: Central Telemetry in ER - nurses read strips
• Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Phillips
• Unit specific equipment: VS3 vital sign monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips Cardiac Telemetry monitoring
• Portable vital signs monitors
• Bladder scanners, IV pump, portable oxygen system
• Glucommander
• Suction machine
• Level One Rapid Infuser, Bearhugger
• LUCAS
• Scrub Color: RN- Navy; LPN- Ceil Blue
