We are looking for an experienced Billing Clerk to join our team in Taunton, Massachusetts. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient medical billing processes within our organization. Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain accurate patient insurance and demographic records.

• Process charge entries for assigned programs in a timely and precise manner.

• Serve as a liaison with insurance representatives to address inquiries and resolve billing-related issues.

• Provide guidance to program directors and clinicians on billing procedures and performance standards.

• Monitor high balance accounts and report problematic account activities to the Billing Manager.

• Review aging reports regularly to ensure claims are filed within the payer’s specified timeline.

• Stay informed and conduct research on payer requirements and specifications.

• Maintain proficiency in all organizational codes related to assigned programs.

• Previous experience in medical billing, with a preference for behavioral health.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing processes and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing billing records.
• Ability to effectively communicate with insurance representatives and internal staff.
• Knowledge of payer specifications and timely filing requirements.
• Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing aging reports.
• Comfortable working onsite during standard business hours (M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM).
