Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's financial operations and guiding our financial strategy. This is a permanent position in which you will play a critical role in the development and execution of company-wide strategic plans and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to shape the financial future of our company, making this a challenging but rewarding role. The ideal CFO is someone who has expertise in strategy but is also tactical and can be in the weeds from a day-to-day perspective, as well as leadership. This position starts off (ideally) as a Director of FP&A and due to succession planning, will move into a CFO role. The CFO must also be very advanced in Excel, as well as financial models. The ideal Director of FP&A has a strong finance but also understanding of accounting to bridge the gap between accounting and finance, as well as having experience in full P&L oversight. This is an important role, as this organization is growing tremendously and looking at succession planning / big picture when hiring. Also, the ideal CFO has an advanced Finance degree or certificate. This position is on-site in San Clemente. The salary above does not include bonus. Why join us?

Job Details Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the finance department and oversee all financial operations, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax, accounting, and risk management.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company's financial growth and stability.
  3. Analyze and interpret financial data and present the results to the board of directors, stakeholders, and other members of the leadership team.
  4. Monitor and manage the company's financial performance by tracking and reporting on key financial metrics (KPIs).
  5. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
  6. Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and ensure its accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  8. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth.
  9. Evaluate and manage business partnerships, investment opportunities, and other corporate transactions.
  10. Lead M&A analysis and negotiations, and coordinate due diligence processes.
  11. Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and business advisors.
  12. Oversee sales reporting and revenue enhancement activities.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the Manufacturing or Consumer Goods industry.
  3. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  5. Solid experience in financial analysis and projections, corporate finance, and budgeting.
  6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  7. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a high-performance team.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  9. Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  10. Demonstrated experience in M&A analysis, due diligence, and negotiation.
  11. Experience managing capital expenses and making investment decisions.
  12. Proven track record of managing complex financial operations and delivering strong financial results.
