Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
A bit about us: We are a heavy steel and fabrication company that's been in business for over 100 years. Our steel is used to build critical infrastructure in the US. We use high-tech CNC equipment to fabricate tons of structural steel every year.
We are hiring a Cost Accountant to support the Controller and Operations Manager in financial reporting, monthly closings, budgeting, process improvement, and cost analysis to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

Job Details Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly financial close and plant financial statement preparation
Analyze financial and project performance to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities
Monitor and support MRO spending control
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Maintain fixed assets and capital expenditure reporting
Contribute to audit preparation and compliance
Prepare plant and project/job profitability reports
Drive process improvements and support special projects
Requirements:
Solid understanding of GAAP; knowledge of construction/project accounting is a plus
Experience with standard costing and job costing
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Effective communicator with sound business judgment
Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
