Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to lead the Catering Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) , a private research university in Troy, NY. This role requires a hands-on culinarian with strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver both high-volume production and elevated, VIP-level cuisine. The Executive Chef will oversee all on- and off-campus catering operations, collaborate with campus partners, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do:Lead the culinary operations for all catering events, from large-scale productions to intimate, high-end dinners.
Design and execute custom menus that reflect creativity, quality, and precision.
Manage purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting .
Ensure compliance with Sodexo culinary standards , recipes, and food quality expectations.
Oversee food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Develop, train, and motivate the culinary team to achieve excellence and embrace innovation.
Partner in menu planning, labor scheduling, and marketing initiatives .
Provide an exceptional customer service experience to students, faculty, and VIP guests.

Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
