Senior Director of Capture Excellence

KBR is seeking a Senior Director of Capture Excellence for the Science & Space (S&S) organization. The Senior Director of Capture Excellence will report to the Vice President of Growth for S&S and oversee the capture team and efforts for S&S federal government pursuits. Responsibilities include developing and leading the team of capture managers through the full lifecycle of BD. Emphasis is on ensuring our capture leads leverage the KBR capture process to develop a thorough understanding of the opportunity, customer, competition, and develop solutions by working with the team to create winning proposals. The Senior Director will manage roughly 11 direct reports.

Responsibilities include overseeing all capture efforts with a focus on mentoring and leading the team of capture managers. This includes ensuring individual capture leaders have the requisite skills and abilities to operate across the entire business development cycle. The Senior Director will participate in milestone and color team reviews and provide value in the process to lead enhancements of solutions. The Senior Director will assist individual leaders in developing thorough capture plans and drive the overall foundation for compelling win strategies, technical, and management approaches. The high-level objective is to improve Capture Excellence of the organization through process improvement, training, strategic thinking, and a disciplined capture approach.

Qualifications

• Growth minded individual with a minimum 20 years experience with demonstrated success in managing federal government business development and capture teams that consist of 10 or more people that have pursued individual Single Award contracts valued greater than $300M.
• Bachelors degree in a related field such as Business Administration, or a technical degree
• Demonstrated successes reflecting the ability to grow the business
• Strong skill in business writing both technical and nontechnical
• Familiarity and experience managing the pipeline and utilizing tools such as Salesforce.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
• Experience with competitive analysis and strategic pricing
• Demonstrated ability and interpersonal skills to work with Executives and lead teams
• Experience winning large scale programs over $300M in the federal government
• Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities.
• Proven individual BD and/or Capture experience with demonstrated wins.

Basic Compensation

$226,800.00 - $340,100.00

Additional Compensation

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of signon bonus, relocation benefits, shortterm incentives, longterm incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
